We are happy and excited to bring you a quick round-up of the updates on Vaultastic. (More on other products later). During the course of the last 9-12 months, we have worked on several dimensions in Vaultastic to improve the Cost Optimisation, Data Security, and Compliance coverage, making Vaultastic more useful and better for you.
Broadly, the areas of improvement cover –
Cost Optimisation
To start with, we’ve made it easier to move data directly to the Open and Deep store, ensuring deeper cost optimisation for data sets that are less likely to be frequently accessed.
We’ve also added an extra layer of cost optimisation for data that is nearing the end of active use and may only be occasionally referenced or required by providing a way to move this data to an in-premise FTP store.
And in case you are already using other cloud services like Azure and have a cost advantage to store a bulk of your archived information there, Vaultastic now makes it possible for you to store data on Azure Blob Storage.
UX Improvements & Greater Visibility
Movement from the DeepStore to the OpenStore and the Active store is now easier with a simpler interface similar to the one you may have used on the OpenStore.
OpenStore also now provides an improved structure for storing information in folders and automatic replication of the source information structure.
Also, most of the routine data movements can be automated, simplifying the data management operations.
Security Enhancements
As part of the certification process for ISO/IEC 27001:2022, we not only went through a very detailed review of our security processes and measures, but we also added several automated tools for real-time monitoring of our cloud infrastructure security (CNAPP), features such as multi-factor authentication, and several security upgrades.
Wider Information Archival Coverage
To enable wider data protection coverage, we’ve added a number of actively used platforms from where we can back up and archive data, such as Teams Chat, Share Point, One Drive, Google Workspace, etc.
Compliance
Besides the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, we have added audit trails to all our stores and added more dashboards for improved traceability and visibility.
